Lymphomax® is an all-herbal formula designed to nourish the body's lymphatic system, which helps support the immune and respiratory systems.
This traditional herbal remedy features nutrients from a potent array of herbs, including Mullein leaf, Bayberry root bark, Alfalfa, Echinacea and Garlic.
Lymphomax® contains time-honored herbs that have been traditionally used to support the respiratory and urinary systems.
Additionally, the chlorophyll in this formula provides antioxidant support.
The lymphatic system is one of the body’s important channels of detoxification, managing a significant portion of internal waste and immune protection.
The lymphatic system consists of a myriad of delicate vessels found in almost every tissue of the body that contains blood vessels.
These vessels perform essential functions, including the transportation of nutrients from the small intestine into the interstitial space and the removal of waste products from cellular metabolism.
A vast array of materials must be transported by this system through small movements such as the pressure changes that occur during breathing and pulsations from arterial circulation.
The lymphatic system is responsible for keeping the body’s fluids flowing cleanly throughout the tissues and preventing these fluids from stagnating.
If the lymphatic system is sluggish, metabolic wastes can accumulate, causing fluid stagnation in the tissues and lymphatic channels.
Consequently, efficient lymphatic system drainage is helpful to promoting overall health.
Mullein
Mullein contains mucilage, gum, saponins, flavonoids and other beneficial compounds. Mullein’s high mucilage content and mild saponins make it a support for the respiratory system. Mucilage absorbs water in the body and becomes slippery, which may help explain its use for soothing irritation. In the mid-16th century, German botanist Adam Lonitzer praised mullein for respiratory support, for heart health and for other benefits. More recently, in traditional Irish medicine, mullein has been cultivated for use in respiratory support. And, according to the European Union Herbal Monograph, mullein is used for soothing an irritated or sore throat linked to dry cough.
Bayberry
Bayberry has been used traditionally to support the immune and respiratory systems. In the early 19th century, traditional herbalists used powdered bayberry root bark at the first sign of a cough or runny nose. Drinking bayberry root tea helped clear respiratory congestion and was historically said to help "sweat out a cold". Bayberry root bark has natural astringent properties that help tighten and dry mucous membranes.
Red Clover
Red clover commonly grows in meadows throughout Europe and Asia. The Europeans brought red clover to America centuries ago and it’s now cultivated in North America, too. It was quickly adopted by native residents who used it for respiratory system complaints, skin concerns, and blood purification. Health care practitioners believe that red clover’s diuretic activity “purifies” the blood, improving circulation and helping to cleanse the liver.
Alfalfa
Alfalfa has been used traditionally as a general tonic to help maintain health and well-being. Alfalfa roots grow deep, providing the plant with a rich source of vital nutrients not always found at the ground’s surface. Alfalfa supplies an abundance of vital nutrients, including cleansing chlorophyll, antioxidants, vitamin C and minerals like calcium, potassium and iron. Alfalfa promotes healthy, enriched blood and helps detoxify the urinary tract. Alfalfa also promotes regular bowel movements, maintains healthy normal-range blood sugar levels, and supports a healthy immune response.
Echinacea
Centuries ago, Native Americans turned to the healing power of echinacea, using it traditionally for colds, coughs and sore throats. More recently, herbal practitioners have embraced echinacea to support the body’s natural defenses. But only in the last few decades have we discovered the many constituents that power this amazing plant’s benefits. Echinacea has been shown to stimulate the immune system by increasing activity of certain immune cells and by promoting the release of cytokines from these immune cells. Cytokines are cellular communication and regulatory molecules that enhance the immune system's response to attacks. Echinacea triggers the body's white blood cells to attack unwanted invaders. According to research, echinacea can significantly increase the body's count of specialized white blood cells, including T-cells, interferon, interleukin and immunoglobulins. Echinacea also contains active substances that have antioxidant activity.
Garlic
Garlic is a natural immune booster and powerful antioxidant that supports the cardiovascular system. Research shows that garlic supports normal-range blood pressure and cholesterol levels, maintains blood vessel health, and promotes a healthy inflammatory response. A natural prebiotic food, garlic has been shown to support digestion and help discourage the growth of unfriendly microbes. Plus, garlic is also well-known to boost immune system function and may help reduce the severity of colds and flu-like symptoms.
Chlorophyll
Chlorophyll (sodium copper chlorophyllin) is a water-soluble salt that has been used orally as an internal deodorant for over 50 years. Chlorophyll helps support the body's blood-cleansing functions and strengthens the intestinal and immune systems. Chlorophyll also acts as a particularly potent natural antioxidant that may help keep cells healthy by protecting them from oxidative damage. Chlorophyll supports the body’s natural detox pathways by inducing expression of detoxification and antioxidant enzymes.
